The measurement method provides efflux time in seconds, which can be converted to kinematic viscosity in centistokes using conversion charts. Testing Procedure: - The test liquid should be maintained at a temperature of 25°C, with fluctuations not exceeding ±0.2°C. - Select the appropriate cup number based on the expected viscosity range of the liquid. - Fully immerse the cup into the test liquid. - Measure and record the temperature of the liquid using a thermometer, then remove the thermometer. - Use the index finger to lift the cup vertically by the handle ring, quickly and steadily. - Start the stopwatch as the cup exits the liquid surface. Keep the cup no more than 15 cm above the liquid level during drainage. - Stop timing at the first distinct break in the liquid stream.
