Whenever you have a check engine light on or want to see how your car is behaving, the VP11 is a very useful device for you. This OBD adapter requires a compatible third-party app. We usually recommend Car Scanner ELM OBD2, Torque Lite, OBD Fusion, Inforcar which are available on Google Play Store. 2. It only works with Android and Windows devices. Apple iOS devices are NOT supported. Check out the VP01 WiFi version or the OBDCheck BLE Bluetooth 4.0 version if you use an iPhone or iPad. Android head units are also NOT recommended. 3. If it is paired with the Android phone but only shows as paired or previously connected, don't worry, it is still connected via Bluetooth. You can go ahead and launch the app to connect. The VP11 allows you to read the trouble codes that cause the check engine light to come on.
