NE555 Square Wave Generator Module with Adjustable Duty Cycle and Frequency This compact module is built around the NE555 timer IC and delivers a dependable square wave output for a wide range of signal generation tasks. It accepts a DC input between 5 V and 15 V, making it straightforward to integrate into existing bench setups, breadboard projects or embedded control circuits. The module is supplied as a single unit, ready to connect to your power source and load. Adjustable Frequency and Duty Cycle The module offers four selectable frequency ranges, covering 1 Hz to 50 Hz, 50 Hz to 1 kHz, 1 kHz to 10 kHz and 10 kHz to 200 kHz. Both the duty cycle and the frequency can be adjusted on board, giving you flexible control over the output waveform. Output Characteristics and LED Indicator With a 5 V supply, the module can deliver an output current of approximately 15 mA, while a 12 V supply increases this to around 35 mA. The output amplitude varies with the input voltage, ranging from approximately 4.2 V peak-to-peak at 5 V input up to about 11.4 V peak-to-peak at 12 V input. An onboard LED provides a clear visual indication of the output state: it lights when the output is low, switches off when the output is high, and blinks at lower frequencies so you can monitor operation at a glance.
