The MT6701 is a magnetic angle encoder based on the differential Hall effect principle. The MT6701 senses the magnetic field component perpendicular to the chip . As the radially magnetized magnet rotates on the chip , the MT6701 outputs a corresponding angle signal from 0 to 360. In addition to providing ABZ/UVW incremental output and Analog/PWM absolute angle output, the MT6701 also provides a 14-bit digital angle output via the IC/ interface. Besides rotational angle measurement, the MT6701 also provides a "push-button" output, enabling a single-chip rotary/push-button function.
