A 10 µs or longer high-level pulse on the Trig pin initiates measurement. 2. The module automatically transmits eight 40 kHz ultrasonic pulses and detects echo return. 3. Upon echo detection, the Echo pin outputs a high-level signal. The duration of this high level corresponds to the time taken for the ultrasonic wave to travel to the target and back. Distance = (Echo pulse width × speed of sound (340 m/s)) / 2. This module supports simple microcontroller integration: a single I/O pin can be used to trigger measurement and read the Echo pulse width using a timer. Repeated measurements enable real-time distance tracking.
