When light creates a shadow on the shield, a difference in photosensitivity between sides is detected, which controls the motor to find the balance point, the center of the light source. Power supply requires a regulated 5-5.5V DC input with sufficient current up to 1.5A. The motor uses a geared motor; slower speed is better. The unit is compatible with JGY370 6V motor. At 5V power supply, the motor operates at a stable speed under no load. If the motor speed is too high, it may cause slight oscillation when aligning to the center, but will not jitter. This circuit includes a short delay for anti-shake functionality. When connecting the motor to the board, polarity is not critical. If the motor rotates in the opposite direction, simply reverse the motor wire connections. The power supply must be a regulated 5-5.5V DC source and must not be directly connected to a solar panel.
