The perfect length 16" all stainless steel stem inserts into the compost to the perfect depth. This compost thermometer is perfect for monitoring the temperature of your compost pile. The long handle lets you measure from all areas of the pile. Accurate Quick Read Compost Soil Thermometer features an easy-to-read 2" wide dial with color-coded temperature ranges. Temperature readings are between 40F to 180F and 0C to 80C (10 to 76) in 2F increments for accurate readings. 3 temperature zones indicating composting activity - stable, active and hot. It takes about 30 seconds to read the temperature from the tip. Great for sowing, transplanting and gardening. Waterproof and hermetically sealed - won't fog up and get wet. With a waterproof glass face for easy cleaning, the backyard compost thermometer can be left in the compost pile overnight.
