On the microphone, near the on/off switch, you'll find clearly labeled buttons for speaking, reading and recording, plus infinitely variable volume control. On the device itself, there's an SD card slot and a USB port. The internal Mp3 player can be switched on very easily as soon as a card or USB stick is inserted, by pressing the corresponding buttons.
