Two full-grain beechwood spatulas, each carved from a single block of timber with no glue joints or laminations. Dimensions: 30 cm overall length, blade width 4–5.5 cm, thickness 0.8–1.8 cm; total set weight 130 g. The wood is air-seasoned then kiln-dried to ≤10% moisture content before final sanding, ensuring dimensional stability in typical UK ambient humidity (40–70% RH). Surface hardness measures 1300 Janka — higher than bamboo and comparable to maple — delivering dent resistance during stirring thick batters or scraping sticky caramel. Fully compliant with EU Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 for food contact materials. Ideal for gentle egg flipping, sauce reduction, and plated presentation — equally suited to small London flats or rural farmhouse kitchens.
